The results I achieved in terms of weight loss, increased muscle definition, and reduction in body fat were really impressive, especially considering the short time in which I wanted to see a change. Advice on diet was really helpful and effective. I learned lots of new exercises and became more confident with ones that I already knew. In particular the work that we did on core stability was useful. I do not think that there is any way that I could have achieved the same results by myself at the gym, the advice on how to do the exercises, how to modify my diet and the motivational support really made a difference, not only in the short term with the change I saw in my body shape but also in my long term attitude towards the effectiveness of exercise and fitness and what I could achieve in my training.
The service is highly professional and friendly too, which can be a difficult balance to achieve but seemed very natural here. I started to see a difference after about 2 ? weeks and this, alongside my trainer?s encouragement, kept me motivated. I liked the way that the circuits were always changing. This both kept things interesting and meant that the exercises were tailored specifically for me, to work on the things that I found difficult or that needed more attention to get the results that I wanted. The sessions were tough in terms of the training that I did but always enjoyable. I would happily recommend this service to a friend, and, what is more, I shall be going back to use this service again myself!

From the low of the first assessment to the high of the last one ? this has been a fantastic experience. Being able to complete an exercise that had been impossible at first (press ups) and getting into clothes that hadn?t fit for a long time. Becoming stronger and leaner. The great feeling after a workout ? even if I felt sluggish and tired at the beginning, by the end the exhilaration was fantastic. Having more energy on a day to day basis. Feeling better about myself and being able to cope with stress more easily. Building a relationship with Jason and trusting him to take me out of my comfort zone! Not feeling in competition with others in a gym situation. Getting praise when it was deserved and gentle chiding when it was not.
The service was fantastic ? Jason put me at ease from the first meeting. The relationship built up was excellent and the diversity of the workout was great ? every time I thought I was on top of something ? he changed it, made it more difficult and I never got bored as I used to when going to the gym and doing the same old routine. Interval training helped to burn more fat and Jason also gave me excellent dietary advice. In 3 months I lost 8 cm from my waist and 7 from my hips, lost a stone, but most impressively my percentage body fat went from 33.9% down to an acceptable 26.7%! My arms, which I hated, now have a definition and shape to them. My cardiovascular system improved hugely and my overall level of fitness and strength has improved to the point that my life is much easier to cope with, including stress and heavy housework. Jason was professional and organised.
I wouldn?t hesitate to recommend Russell Fitness to anyone ? I intend to continue exercising and have learnt such a lot. I can?t thank Jason enough.
